I don’t normally stop and look closely at art being exposed in the street in the form of stickers and posters - street art.
I do notice, however, that the art is there, and to some extent the figures and words on walls and lampposts keep my mind flexible when walking in the city.
I would survive if there were no such thing as street art. But the fact that there is, is wonderful for this reason: it reminds me that a lot of people I don’t know run risks and cut sleep to send me messages I wouldn’t otherwise have received.
I have asked six people to recount a memorable situation that they have experienced during their careers as street artists.
